I am using Mi12Pro China version flashed latest EU ROM but proximity is also not working. Using built-in Control and Identification Toolbox (CIT) to test the sensor but it is not responding . maybe the sensor is not exist , isn't it ? Now I know how to test the proximity sensor on xiaomi phone. Don't place your phone on the table. Take it Xiaomi 11T continues to mount Elliptic Labs' digital proximity sensor. This only means one thing: the problems will continue to exist, also for this new series of smartphones. Apparently Ellictic Labs presented his AI Virtual Proximity Sensor INNER BEAUTY on the new device, in standard version (it seems only this, but we do not count on it).
And here is the problem! It is a virtual sensor and not an optical one. What is the difference? An optical sensor works thanks to infrared and, in a nutshell, is not subject to flaws of any kind. If so, the problems are sporadic. The digital proximity sensor, on the other hand, as we know, has many problems.
Obviously the proximity sensor is at fault. Enter the menu using the code mentioned above, then press the menu/options button and select Calibrate proximity sensor. Once you're there, hold your hand over the proximity sensor (to the right of the front camera) and tap the Calibrate button. That's one thing that could fix it.

Note 11 doesn't have a hardware based proximity sensor. Instead, it uses software context and other data (like ultrasound and maybe the front camera) to detect proximity, something called "AI Virtual Proximity Sensor". It has been used in some Xiaomi devices since 2016-2017. In some devices, software (MIUI bugs) made the proximity sensor work

I think you shouldn't look for the firmware on which the sensor will work normally. Such a trifle as a sensor in a phone for 560 euros must work properly from the beginning in stock rom. There is no official support for xiaomi phones here, write about this issue on official mi.com. Or contact an authorized service center with this problem.
Once you have flashed Android 10, reboot your device into the OS and check if the sensors have started working again. A lot of Pixel users affected by this issue on the official XDA thread have confirmed that this method works. Several Xiaomi Mi A3 users have also successfully fixed the sensors on their devices by following the same method. .
